Teako

NEW ARRIVAL!!

Teako is a beautiful eight-month old solid liver male GSP. He comes to us from Dodge City, KS. His former owners just didn't want him anymore. He has typical GSP spunk, drive and energy to burn! He is currently learning how to walk on a leash and is a quick learner. Teako is both house trained and crate trained. He lived in a home with children and other dogs. More will be posted on Teako after we get to learn more about him. ADOPTION FEE: $350

Molly

NEW ARRIVAL!!!!!

This is Molly, an approximately two year old black and white GSP. Pretty big for a female and such a good girl. She is housetrained, crate trained, walks okay on a leash (they all can use refresher courses on leash etiquette), doesn't bark, hasn't tried to dig, doesn't challenge fencing, gets along great with all other dogs, and did great around a 3-year old child, loves to play with toys and fetch, and knows some basic commands. She was an owner surrender to the shelter in Dodge City, KS because they just didn't want to deal with dogs anymore. Molly had a litter of puppies not long ago (little lab mixes that have gone on to Lab Rescue near Denver) and she came here. She has been here a few days and she is settling right into the routine with no problems. ADOPTION FEE: $300

Jake

NEW ARRIVAL!!!!!

Jake is a striking approximately two-year old male GSP. He was picked up as a stray in Hiawatha, Kansas. Jake just arrived and more will be posted about him after we get to know him a little better. ADOPTION FEE: $300

Maddy

Maddy is an adorable approximately 12 month old purebred black and white female GSP. She and her sibling (Tally) were picked up as strays out in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. Maddy is absolutely beautiful! She has a pretty bad case of mange (demodectic - which is non-contagious to other dogs and/or humans) at the moment, but it appears to be healing. She's lost a lot of hair and looks like a wrinkly little old lady, but soon her hair will come in and she will be sleek and shiny again. POSTED: 10/26/2011; ADOPTION FEE: $300

Gracie

Gracie is an approximately 8 year old female GSP. She was picked up in Garden City, KS as a stray. Gracie is a beautiful girl that has apparently had lots of litters of puppies. Gracie is house trained and crate trained. She walks well on leash. Gracie does have seperation anxiety and would need someone who is home to be with her alot, possibly enjoy the companionship of another dog, or be crated while her owner is away from home. Angel

Angel is an adorable approximately two-year old English Pointer picked up as a stray in Utah. She is a delightful spunky and wonderfully social girl. Just waiting for someone to take her home. Stop by and visit Angel! Adoption fee $300.

Zoe

Owner Surrender

Zoe is a four-year old purebred GSP female. She is an owner surrender to the rescue. This is a really sweet dog. She is housetrained, crate trained, walks okay on a leash, gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and ages. She is a fun loving dog. Zoe does, however, suffer from seperation anxiety. Poor thing - she was always left alone. Her seperation anxiety can be managed. She will need a new owner that is not gone all day long. She will also need a new owner that understands her needs and will be assertive and not let her push them around. She has learned how to manipulate people. Zoe can also jump six-foot fences, so she needs to go to a home with a very secure fence. Possibly the use of invisible fencing would be the best fix for her - to simply learn to stay away from the fence completely. Aside from her drawbacks, this is truly one of the sweetest dogs that have come through our rescue. She seeks attention from people and loves to accompany you on whatever activity is going on. Zoe may be a challenge, but the reward you will receive back is the affection and undying devotion of a dog that simply needs another chance to become a valued member of a loving family. Lola

Lola is an approximately 4-5 year old purebred female GSP. She comes to us from Kansas City where she was picked up as a stray. Lola is a delightful dog. She gets along well with all other dogs. Georgia

Georgia is a 4-5 year old purebred female GSP. Georgia was picked up in the Kansas City area as a stray. It is apparent that Georgia has had lots of puppies in her life. This is a wonderful dog! She is happy, and bouncy. At first when she got here, she was timid and shy - but now that she's been here awhile, she's relaxed and loves to have fun and run and sniff every inch of the property. Georgia comes when you give out a loud whistle and call for her. She is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and might even be house trained. This happy dog is patiently waiting for someone to take her home with them. ADOPTION FEE: $300

Bunker

OWNER SURRENDER

Bunker is an approximately two year old neutered male GSP. His owners are surrendering him to the rescue because they don't have the time to care for Bunker the way a young boisterous GSP needs. Bunker is both house and crate trained, loves children and other dogs. It is unknown how Bunker would do around a cat.Bunker would love to have a new home where there is another dog for him to play with. This is a nice dog. POSTED: 9/27/2011

Chip

Chip is an approximately 3-4 year old solid liver male GSP. He was an owner surrender to the shelter in Salina, Kansas - the victim of a divorce. This boy loves life! Since arriving at the rescue, he's really come out of his shell. He gets along great with all other dogs and loves to romp and play with them all. He is crate trained and no doubt house trained. He walks strongly on leash. He loves people and watches whatever you are doing, wanting to always join in on the fun. Chip has a nasty scar that runs down the middle of his back. It is unknown what caused that scar, however it doesn't seem to bother him or cause him any discomfort. ADOPTION FEE: $300

Jack

Jack is an approximately 5-7 year old male GSP. He was found running at large near Colorado City, CO. The good samaritan that picked Jack up tried to find his owner, but no such luck. This is a pretty nice boy. He has an old injury to his left rear leg that does not appear to cause him any discomfort or pain. He gets along well with the other dogs and just loves the company of people. Jack walks strongly on leash. He'll do anything you ask for a piece of a hot dog - very food motivated! ADOPTION FEE: $150
